»... it sings inside your heart.«
That is how Jewish mystics have described
the secret of music ever since the Middle Ages.

This insight is reflected right up to the present day in Jewish music, regardless of the numerous musical influences that have continuously formed and altered it.

Klezmer music is Eastern European dance and wedding music. First and foremost, however, Klezmer music is the expression of both profound reigious passion and exuberant joie de vivre. For the Ensemble Noisten it represents the basis of musical performance.

The Ensemble combines elements of Klezmer music with other genres, like flamenco, classical music, Tamil and Turkish music, jazz and other influences, in a humorous and charming, but at the same time sincere and respectful way.

We combine the traditional with improvisation and our own compositions, making Klezmer music world music.
